Legal Obligation

Employers have an obligation under the Heath and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 and Approved Code of Practice (ACOP L74) to make adequate and appropriate First Aid Provision for their employees. It is recommended that someone is able to undertake First Aid at all times when people are at work.  For more detailed information go to www.hse.gov.uk

Risk Assessment

Each employer should carry out its own risk assessment to establish what level of First Aid cover it requires. The following table offers guidance to minimum levels of first aid cover. This is no replacement for a thorough risk assessment.

North West First Aid Training delivers training throughout  the north west of England. Covering from as far south as Runcorn and Warrington and Stockport. As far east as Manchester, Oldham, Rockdale, Burnley, Clitheroe. As far west as Southport, Blackpool, Morecambe and Barrow in Furness. We travel as far north as Windermere, Kendal, Kirby Lonsdale and Penrith. Other towns and cities inside that area include Morecambe, Fleetwood, Lancaster, Preston, Wigan, Bolton, Bury, St Helens, Liverpool and Chorley. The above list is not exclusive.
