Anaphylaxis Awareness Course

This course is suitable for anyone who has the responsibility of looking after an individual living with the medical condition Anaphylaxis and is especially popular amongst child care workers and teaching staff.

Any Care Worker wishing to further their knowledge and understanding of Anaphylaxis

Course Content
Delegates will receive an awareness in a range of topics:

• What is Anaphylaxis?
• Why does Anaphylaxis occur?
• What causes Anaphylaxis?
• Signs & Symptoms of Anaphylaxis
• Emergency Treatment of Anaphylaxis and Basic Life Support (including Adults, Children and Babies)
• Treatments of Anaphylaxis including practical session on the administration of the Epipen and Anapen

Course Duration
The course duration is 3 hours.

Assessment & Certification
Assessment is undertaken by the trainer throughout the course. On successful completion of the course activities and Multiple Choice Question paper, delegates will receive a certificate of attendance, from North West First Aid Ltd.
