Diabetes Awareness Course

This course is a suitable introduction for those who care for people living with Diabetes.

Course Content
Delegates will receive an awareness in a range of topics:-

• What is Diabetes?
• Types of Diabetes
• Signs & Symptoms of Diabetes
• Hypoglycaemia (low blood sugar)
• Hyperglycaemia (high blood sugar)
• Emergency Treatment of Diabetic Emergencies
• Diabetic drugs/treatments available
• Complications of Diabetes

Course Duration
The course duration is six hours.

Assessment & Certification
Assessment is undertaken by the trainer throughout the course. On successful completion of the course activities and Multiple Choice Question paper, delegates will receive a certificate of attendance, from North West First Aid Ltd.
