Infection Control Awareness Course

This course is ideal for any Care Environment as it aims to improve the understanding and knowledge of good Infection Control practices for all.

Course Content
Delegates will receive an awareness of a range of topics:

• The principles of Infection Control
• The sources and spread of infection
• Infectious diseases and a basic awareness of their management
• The importance of preventing and controlling infection including the appropriate use Standard Precautions
• The safe management of clinical waste, body fluid spillages and soiled linen

Course Duration
The course duration is six hours.

Course Outcome
On successful completion of the course activities and a Multiple Choice Question Paper, delegates will receive a certificate of attendance from North West First Aid Ltd which is valid for one year.
