Medication Awareness Course

This course is suitable for anyone working in a health and social care environment and offers a good introduction of the knowledge needed to ensure the safe administration of medication.

Course Content
Delegates will receive an awareness in a range of topics:

• Legislation governing medication
• Classification of Medicines
• An introduction to prescriptions
• The safe supply, storage and disposal of medication
• Routes of medication administration
• The safe administration of medication
• Errors in medication administration
• The importance of record keeping, confidentiality and accountability when administering medication

Course Duration
The course duration is six hours.

Assessment & Certification
On successful completion of the course activities and Multiple Choice Question paper, delegates will receive a certificate of attendance, from North West First Aid Ltd which is valid for one year.
