Vulnerable Adults Protection Awareness

It may be surprising to know that there are no published statistics on the number of adults known to have experienced abuse or maltreatment by their carers, friends or family. However, it is commonly estimated to be more than 5%.By being informed in basic vulnerable adult protection awareness you can play your part in preventing adult abuse.

Course Content
Delegates will receive training in a range of First Aid topics: -

• What is a Vulnerable Adult?
• The different types of abuse and the effects abuse can have on an adult
• What to do if an adult confides in you and how to report abuse
• The importance of record keeping
• Legislation and your organisations responsibilities

Course Duration
The course duration is six hours.

Course Outcome
On successful completion of the course activities and Multiple Choice Question Paper delegates will receive a certificate of attendance from North West First Aid Ltd which is valid for two years.
